Happy Easter

It's the Superbowl for us Christians this weekend. Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ paid our debts on the cross. He died and rose again 3 days later. I hope all that read this blog know Him. I know some don't and I've got to be honest, it makes my heart sad. Jesus died such a painful death so that we ALL could live with Him forever. I hope you know how much He loves you. He gave His only son for us. And as a parent for the first time this Easter, that has a different meaning for me now.

Speaking of being a parent. What kind of parent would I be if I didn't dress my kid up for an Easter photo shoot or take her to see the Easter bunny. Are you ready for some cuteness????????????? There are LOTS of pictures to share.

Somebody wasn't a big fan of the Easter bunny but can you blame her? Big stuff animals scare me too unless they are mounted to a wall :-)

I wanted to get P a really good Easter basket that she'll have forever. Unfortunately this one from the Pottery Barn isn't the greatest. It's an odd shape and I'm not really a fan but it will do for now.

I wanted to find a really great book about the REAL meaning of Easter so I went to Lifeway Christian bookstore a few weeks ago. Huh- do you know how hard it is to find books about the REAL meaning of Easter? Tough. Even at a freaking Christian store. Guess I'll just have to write my own. haha

St Patty's Day

Happy Saint Patty's Day. I've been in the house ALL WEEK long with a sick baby & a sick husband so you know there was bound to be a photo session in between naps, antibiotics and breathing treatments!!!!!!!!

If I thought 7 months old was hard, the last 4 weeks have been harder. We have been plagued with continuous sickness. Mine started the weekend of our anniversary (Feb20) and just ended this week. That led to Paisley catching a cold which turned into a double ear infection and now WALKING PNEUMONIA. And Todd went back to the doctor for the 2nd time this week because his throat hurts so much he can't talk. We're ALL a HOT mess.

On Tuesday, I took Paisley back to the doctor because her cold haven't gotten any better and her cough was terrible. Sure enough- she had pneumonia. Her oxygen levels were low but not low enough to send us to the hospital. Instead they sent us home with a Nebulizer and she takes breathing treatments every 4 hours.

She hates the treatments and rather eat the plastic chicken head than put in on her nose. We break the rules and let her watch TV while she does it because it's the only way to distract her and make her sit still.

3 weeks on continuous sickness will wear a girl down. We just have to start feeling better soon. I'm tired of sounding like a broken record. My sister-in-law told me back in December to beware of Satan's attacks once I quit my job to stay at home. Anytime you do something God calls you to do, you should expect the enemy to attack. Well, I quit my job on Dec 21 and I got the flu on Christmas. I've pretty much been sick since. What's worse than being sick? Watching a perfectly innocent baby cry because she's in so much pain. We had 5 sleepless nights were she just cried. Todd & I would take shifts holding her throughout the night. It was sad and exhausting. However, my hope is in the Lord and it's by His stripes that we are healed. So I'm claiming healing & victory for my family. Will you agree with me? AMEN.

Here are our monthly pics. Does she look skinner? Well she is! She lost 7 oz in the last 3 weeks since I've been sick. My milk has been low & she has been a very unhappy camper. The doctor says that her weight loss is fine but I want my chunky baby back!

2 weeks ago Paisley wasn't sick and I was bored. So we got out the old camera & starting playing.

We looked at our self in the mirror because we like doing that (I promise she didn't get that from me)

Yep. The dryer. My friend Ashley had taken a really cute picture of her baby a few weeks ago in the dryer and I thought it would be fun to try it out. Paisley actually liked being in there but it made me nervous.

Bobbie's Wedding Part #1

Well, my best friend is married!!!!!!!!!!!! Bobbie & Brad were married Saturday March 9! I have a few pictures to share. These are the shots that I got on my camera (which was tough since I was in the wedding). I hired myself a second shooter (Rodney Levins) but of course I didn't get the pictures from him. My mother SWEARS she'll send me the pics on a flash drive but I'll believe that once I see it in the mail.

In the mean time, here's a quick glance at a very beautiful day. It was freezing cold all week long in Raleigh. But the weather on Saturday was warm (until the sun went down) and sunny. Bobbie couldn't have picked a more gorgeous day.

Brad & Bobbie were married at Brad's parents house in Waycross, GA. Their backyard was the perfect venue for this event. Bobbie looked absolutely gorgeous on her day.

So happy for her! All she has ever wanted is to be loved and now she has found it. I'm so happy that I was able to stand by her (even if it was my 15th bridesmaid gig) on her big day. I couldn't be happier for you Bobbs! Hope you enjoy your honeymoon in the Dominican. (hey- pick up a tan for me while you're there! thanks)
