Chris & Desi's Baby Announcement

My cousin Desi & her husband Chris are expecting! They came to the house on Monday to take a few photos so they could announce the exciting news to the world (a.k.a. Facebook). Desi asked if they could bring their dog Cru and include him in the pictures. If you know me, then you know I'm not a "dog" person. I had no clue how to capture a dog for a baby announcement so I did what any person would do- consulted Pinterest. We stole a bunch of good ideas and I think these pictures came out great.

Cru was really well behaved & did just about anything we asked him to do if there was a treat involved. He's such a cute little dog.

This picture cracks me up! I just had to put a caption to it.

After the pictures were over, they came inside and Desi held Hunter for a little while. She looked like a natural. I think she & Chris will make great parents. And I know that her mama (my Aunt Cil) will make the BEST grandmother. This baby is gonna spoiled rotten with love. Can't wait to meet him or her in September!

Congrats guys!

Love,
Candice

Happy St Patrick's Day

Happy St Patrick's Day!

I would have never known its St Patrick's day if it wasn't for Facebook. I guess we don't get out much because these 'holidays' keep passing me by. Luckily Paisley was taking a nap and I got a few shots of my little red head in a St Pat's bow tie.

Scavenger Hunt Sunday

My friend Ashley Sisk hosts a Scavenger Hunt every Sunday. Each week she gives her viewers 5 words to capture during the week. Each week (for the past 2 years) I have told myself that I need to participate. I really am hoping to pick up my camera more in 2014 and start improving so I worked really hard this week to participate. Here are my pics for the week.

1. Doorway - Paisley playing in her room

2. Candid - I don't know why but I love this shot of Paisley playing in the hay with dirty shoes.

3. Open- My azalea flowers are starting to open. I hope that means Spring is coming. It's been a long, cold winter( even in Southeast TX where it never gets cold). I just wish TX had 4 seasons. It has warmed up a bit but it will be blazes hot before long.

4. Look up- Playing outside with her new basketball goal. I really wanted a picture of her trying to put her basketball in the hoop so I got my step stool out and waited for the shot. She of course didn't want to participate in what I wanted her to do and instead wanted to climb the step stool. Oh well. Still got a shot looking up.

5. Stuffed - We are "potty" training around here. I say "potty" training lightly. She showed an interest lately and since 2 in diapers is expensive, I thought I would try. Well it hasn't gone well. She has peed in everything but the potty. My floors, our humidifier and even a skillet she pulled out of the cabinet. Her stuffed sheep seems to have gotten the concept however  :-)

Hunter's newborn session

It seems strange that everybody isn't on Facebook these days but there are some of ya out there. So for those of you who aren't on FB, here are a few pics from Hunter's newborn session with Danielle Brasher. I LOVE Danielle Brasher & we are very lucky to have her in this area. She came to our house & captured these shots and I just love them and I'm excited to share them with you.

Danielle also got a few pics of Paisley. It truly is amazing that Danielle got her to smile on camera. The second I take my camera out, Paisley frowns and usually runs the other way. But with Danielle, she hammed it up for the camera. I will forever be grateful for a few pictures of Miss P with a smile on her face :-)

These next pictures of Paisley & Hunter are my absolute favorites. So incredibly sweet!

I also LOVE this picture of our family of 4! Gonna get this one blown up soon.

Complete perfection! Thank you Danielle for capturing memories that we will treasure forever.
