Corn Maze

This past Sunday I went to a corn maze with my Sunday school girls. Elizabeth Epp has now taken over my Sunday duties but she still includes me on all the girls activities. It was SO good to see the girls. I miss them SO much. The weather was gorgeous and they had a ton of fun.

Here is Elizabeth with my girls.

Todd wins husband of the year for this one. After parking cars at church, he went with us to the Corn Maze. The only dude with a bunch of 10 year olds and a baby strapped to his chest. The girls LOVE Todd and requested that he be there. This picture just melts my heart.

P is for Perfect

Miss P has become one of Paisley's nicknames. So has Sweet Pea & Poopy (that's what we call her when she's fussy or she has crapped and it smells like nasty poop). So naming her Paisley was perfect because she got all the 'P' nicknames. There are other P's.

P is for Purdy. From the moment she was born anybody that saw this baby has always said how "BEAUTIFUL" she was. With her beautiful blue eyes, creamy skin & chubby cheeks, she can't help but be a pretty girl!

From 4 Generations

P is for Precious. If MamMaw Levins said it once, she said it 500 times "Isn't she precious".
From Texas_Sept 2012

P is for Piggy. God love her, she's a BIG girl! She can't help but love her mama's good milk. Todd jokes and says that we need to put Baby Craig on Jenny Craig. It's mean but it's funny. Who doesn't love a chubby baby??!! I know that once she gets crawling & walking, those ninja legs will move her like the wind & she will slim down.
From Paisley_Month 2

P is for Perfect. This baby is seriously perfect. James 1:17 says "Every good and PERFECT gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows". That's exactly what she is. I have brought this kid to 3 states on 9 plane rides and she was completely perfect every single time. Had no issues with her ears and either ate or slept the entire plane ride. She never fusses unless something is wrong which is usually when she's tired & ready for a nap. She is sleeping 12 hours a night with one midnight feeding. Todd prayed every single day for 9 months that we would have a 'sleeper' baby and that's what we got! She's happy & healthy. Every time we go to the pediatrician, everything is perfect. Her eyes, her ears (my mom prayed about this one for MONTHS & still does), her weight, her reflexes. She is high on the growth curve but completely normal. So there is only one way to describe her - PERFECT.

We are also blessed & we realize it. I hear horror stories about babies with colic and it makes me so thankful that Paisley doesn't cry much. I realize that if we try this again, we might not be so lucky. But I don't think it's luck, I think it's God true blessing. She is such an easy, happy baby. I realize that it is only because of God's favor that she has the temperament that she does. Thank you Jesus!

Todd & I love her to pieces. She can wear two grown adults out during a day but she is such a JOY! Her smile can melt your heart and make it grow in ways that you would not think was possible. And I could kiss those cheeks forever. She is our PERFECT gift from above!

Kevin & Victoria's wedding

October is a BIG wedding month in North Carolina. The temps are cooler, leaves are changing & fall is in full swing. We had TWO weddings this month but I want to show you the wedding of our friends Kevin & Victoria Brosseau. I was SO excited about this wedding because I love Kevin & Victoria and because it was our first night out since having Paisley. Here we are... the new parents out on the town

From Kevin & Victoria's wedding

Victoria is apart of our small group that I use to be apart of. Here we are. Miss these ladies.

And now our happy couple

The reception was at the Stock Room in downtown Raleigh and it was gorgeous. Lots of detail.

I loved the "leaf" wedding tree that we signed.

There was lots of dancing & my breast pump even made an appearance. (listen- it's been a long 3 months! Don't judge). That's my friend Holly. She just might be funnier than me. You know I don't like people like that but I LOVE me some Holly! Silly girl.

I finally got a pic with the bride

And my favorite part of the wedding (besides dancing with my breastpump). The FAVORS- make your own caramel apples. So cool!

Weeks 8-12

Paisley has really grown on the last 4 weeks. I remember my sister-in-law telling me that things would change around 6 weeks when my newborn would start smiling & being more alert. I have to say that it wasn't until 8 weeks when she really started to interact more with us and start talking. She is such a big girl now & I love all of her new tricks which include......

Blowing bubbles. She has lots of spit lately & I think she'll start teething soon. Early I know but she's advanced. What can I say?

From Paisley_Month 3

Sucking her hand. She really isn't into the Paci anymore. She would much prefer her hand to the paci. Her fingers are too long for her to suck her thumb (she chokes herself) so she just sucks her fingers instead. It's the funniest thing.
From Paisley_Month 3

Sticking my tongue out. I'd wish she would smile for the camera instead of stick her tongue out. Oh well.
From Paisley_Month 3
From Paisley_Month 3

Standing on her feet. This is very new- just started last week. However, she doesn't like to stand for too long- too much work. Guess she gets the non-exercise gene from her mommy.
From Paisley_Month 3

Picking her head up nice & strong (even though she resembles a bobble head most of the time).
From Paisley_Month 3

Playing in her Jumparoo
From Paisley_Month 3

360 in bed. We had to put the breathable bumper on her bed at Week 10 because I woke up one morning with her feet literally hanging out the crib. She is a very active sleeper. I will put her down at the 9 o'clock position and I'll watch her turn to 12 and then 3 and then all the way back to the position I put her in. You can entertain yourself just watching her sleep.
From Paisley_Month 3

And one last picture that I love. She was telling me something very serious.
From Paisley_Month 3

She's just getting so big that I can't wait to see what the next 4 weeks have in store for us.

Next up- She will be 3 months tomorrow. Can you believe it?

4 Generations

I forget sometimes that I have folks that follow the blog but aren't on Facebook. Seems like pictures make it to Facebook a WHOLE LOT quicker than they do to this blog but I don't want my steady followers to miss out on these pics!

While we were in Texas, we had a "Generations" photo shoot. I stalked the very talented Danielle Brasher for months before we went to TX. I knew that I wanted her to do something while we were there. So I came up with the "Generations" photo shoot. Well, Pinterest came up with it. My 83 year old MawMaw, My mother, Me & Paisley. 4 Generations of women! The pictures came out INCREDIBLE!

From 4 Generations

Here is the lady who started it all. MawMaw Schexnider. 11 kids, 31 grandchildren & Paisley made the 19th great grandchild.
From 4 Generations

I asked that MawMaw wear her ring. This ring has the birth stones of all of her 11 children! Can YOU imagine having ELEVEN children? I sure can't but boy I'm glad she did.
From 4 Generations

Mother Therese is child #7. Ain't she pretty?

Oh I love this sweet baby!

Nothing like a kiss from the sweetest Cajun lady you'd ever meet.
From 4 Generations

And finally 2 of my Perfect angel baby.
From 4 Generations

I can just hear her saying "Mom, why do you do this to me ALL the time?"
